Dave has over 25 years sales and management experience with IBM. Dave’s experience in these multiple roles has enabled him to develop keen insights into client’s infrastructure services issues and needs. His work with data center services includes identifying client business requirements, assessing client’s infrastructure capabilities, and reviewing/presenting best options for client data center infrastructure improvements.

Recently Dave has taken on a new role of global sales executive for Enterprise Infrastructure Services, which includes data center and networking services with specialization in private cloud solutions and infrastructures. Dave’s current responsibilities include:

- assisting sales teams worldwide with closing complex infrastructure services opportunities
- presenting IBM services to clients, business partners, and industry conferences
- educating and training sellers worldwide on the infrastructure services portfolio
- developing a global data center sales model and identifying service offering priorities
- developing sales strategies with IBM marketing and offering development

Dave has presented at IBM client briefings in Boulder, CO, Orlando, FL, and Raleigh, NC, and at Data Center Dynamics and AFCOM industry conferences in San Francisco, CA, and Dallas, TX. Dave has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology University in Rolla, MO and lives in the Kansas City area.

Gard Little
Gard Little is research director for IDC's IT Consulting and System Integration research program and is responsible for subscription and custom research around system integration and consulting services worldwide. This program covers a broad range of IT related markets from consulting and integration, to enterprise application services and infrastructure optimization. This research area also focuses on the market for solutions such as enterprise resource planning, business intelligence, customer relationship management and supply chain management. In addition, as lead analyst for IDC's Cloud Services: The Professional Services Opportunity program, Gard conducts research on customer demand and vendor offerings for project-based services related to building and implementing cloud services. Using his current research and extensive professional services experience, in both large and entrepreneurial organizations, Mr. Little collaborates and engenders trust with senior level business and IT executives, providing them strategic insights for revenue maximization and business growth. Prior to joining IDC, Mr. Little worked for over twenty years as a business and IT consulting executive. While at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he co-authored Information Leadership, which described his work with CIOs and senior executives on creating information leadership teams. Mr. Little earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University with a concentration in the study of high technology firms, and an undergraduate degree from Vassar College in Cognitive Science.

The adoption of cloud services has accelerated over the past decade as companies seek to control expense and ramp capacity up or down as needed to align with business needs.
