Director of Product Management
Absolute Software
Tim Williams
Tim Williams is the Director of Product Management for Absolute Software. He has helped develop tools for managing multiplatform and mobile environments, and consulted with major commercial and government organizations in planning their endpoint security and management strategies for more than fifteen years. A former United States Army officer, Tim has more than twenty total years of experience in high tech. Prior to joining Absolute, he was responsible for endpoint management software sales in the Southeastern United States for Symantec Corporation. Tim also led the global marketing team for the software division of Netopia, Inc., since acquired by Motorola.

A few years ago, a typical five-year technology roadmap focused on hardware including computers, BlackBerry smartphones, servers, and other components.  Today – as a result of BYOD, employee choice, and the expansion of the endpoint – the scope of IT has expanded to include the management of people, processes, devices, apps, and data.

Now more than ever, IT needs to have a forward-facing plan…a roadmap that provides vision and the flexibility to adjust to new technology and trends as they happen.

Key takeaways will include:

  •  Workforce technologies that support the goals of the business
  • Data access and storage built for employee productivity
  • Providing employees with devices of their choice
