Phil focuses his research on application professionals, but his research also draws the interest of enterprise architects, CIOs, and other IT professionals.
Rich was the co-founder of Relativity Technologies, an application modernization pioneer, that was sold to Micro Focus in late 2008. Most recently, he held the position of President of Make Technologies which was acquired by Dell in May 2012. In his current capacity as Executive Director, Dell Application Modernization Services, he leads all aspects of Dell’s strategy and offerings for the re-architecting of legacy applications to modern platforms. How do you formulate a strategy to modernize and transform your applications? In part 1 of this 3-part series, Forrester VP / Research Director Phil Murphy will outline why yesterday's approach to modernization must give way to a smarter, more strategic approach. You'll learn why "Build versus buy?" is an outdated question, how to identify applications that are strategic to your business and how to develop your own application disposition roadmap.
Rich Cronheim will then highlight how Dell Services' end-to-end capabilities help clients understand their current state and develop disposition strategies that support strategic business initiatives. You'll discover how Dell can help:
- Identify applications that are limiting the business from executing on key priorities
- Assess the overall portfolio alignment to business strategy
- Plan for modernization, replacement and retirement to streamline your portfolio
