Dr. Sylvie Kadivar is Senior Director of Strategic Marketing at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc.  She is responsible for defining and driving the company’s Green memory strategies.  Ms. Kadivar has worked in the semiconductor industry for 16 years, during which time she held various positions in the areas of product marketing, strategic market planning and business development.  Prior to Samsung, she worked at Siemens, Philips Semiconductors and NXP Semiconductors.  Ms. Kadivar holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, an MBA from Ashridge Business School in the UK,  and an  Engineering degree (EE)  from the Institut Superieur d’Electronique de Paris.

Dr. Shen then studied at the University of California, Los Angeles where he received his Ph.D. in Computer Science. Prior to founding CloudMosa in 2009, Dr. Shen worked as a software developer with both Google and Microsoft.

He holds a Professional Engineering license, and is an expert IT consultant with over 22 years of experience in Academia, Manufacturing, Telecom, Oil and Gas, Financial, and Healthcare industries. As a design engineer he has led many data center design projects for clients across the globe. Dr. Foroozesh has intimate knowledge of advanced architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, telecommunication, and IT infrastructure concepts and standards that are required in designing and commissioning modern green and resilient data centers. He has severed as advisor to CEOs, CFOs, and CIOs on strategic technology planning, data center and infrastructure rationalization, process optimization, and adoption of technology standards that align with business objectives. He is an accomplished speaker and has presented seminars at many IT and data center forums. He is affiliated with several professional organizations including IEEE and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
