Alex Ryals serves as the VP of HP Solution Development for Avnet Services, with the role of building solutions to help Avnet partners and customers manage and transform their technology environments to optimize business outcomes. These solutions span areas such as Cloud Computing and Data Center Automation, Big Data Analytics, Business Service Management, IT Service Management, Enterprise Monitoring and others. Additional responsibilities include managing the national HP Software focused presales organization for the Avnet Service HP Practice as well as the growing private cloud implementation practice. With over 15 years of IT and consulting experience and most previously as the CTO of Pepperweed Consulting, Alex has a long history in Solution Development and HP Software sales and delivery. Previous positions have included Delivery Consultant, Solutions Architect, Director of Pre-Sales and Director of Research and Development. Prior to Pepperweed, Alex worked for Fedex as a third level OS support engineer and administrator for HP Software solutions. An extensive background in development, management software and IT process gives Alex a unique perspective when helping customers navigate through the complexities of transforming IT into a business aligned service. Alex is active in the IT management business community, speaking at industry conferences and participating in vendor and customer advisory boards.
