Scott has been messing with computers for 33 years, parlaying his favorite hobby into a career. Scott is the Program Manager for Windows Storage Server and the OEM Appliance OOBE deployment tools. He started his Microsoft career 18 years ago testing video subsystems on Windows NT. Scott has worked with OEMs on BIOS, firmware and compatibility issues in the Windows Hardware Quality Labs, designed IHV tools and websites, digital signature infrastructure, crafted logo program requirements for bus controllers, input devices, and USB, ATA and SCSI storage devices. Scott started work on Microsoft's NAS appliance platform offerings in 2006. He loves gadgets, wakeboarding and the Seattle Supersonics. Scott has an unbelievably supportive wife at home, two beautiful girls aged 2 and 7, a pair of 17-year-old cats and a 14TB NAS using LSI RAID 5 on Hitachi enterprise drives.
